Prospector Equity Capital, L.P., based in Park City, Utah, was established in November 2002 after completing its first round of fundraising with institutional investors. Prior to the close of the Fund, the Principals of Prospector Equity Capital were exclusively focused on running the Fund's management company, Hunter Capital Group.
Hunter Capital Group was founded in 1996 as a merchant bank Saeed Abtahi, to capitalize on the abundant middle market opportunities in the underserved market of the Intermountain West. Since 1996, Hunter Capital Group has successfully pursued both investment banking and principal investing activities in this area, raising over $1.5 billion in equity and debt financings for its clients as well as directing over $125 million in principal investments.
The professionals at Prospector Equity Capital have been working together for the past nine years. Together, the team possesses over 55 years of collective experience in finance and investing.

Larry Griffin is a General Partner at Prospector Equity Capital, L.P. Prior to joining Hunter Capital Group in 1996, Mr. Griffin worked in the Corporate Finance Department of Dabney/Resnick (now Imperial Capital) where he was responsible for all aspects of a variety of mergers & acquisitions, financing and restructuring transactions in a wide range of industries. Prior to Dabney/Resnick, Mr. Griffin worked at Post Advisory Group where he performed detailed credit analysis and co-managed a $110 million fund principally invested in high-yield related securities. Prior to Post Advisory Group, Mr. Griffin began his professional career at Dabney/Resnick during the firm's highest period of growth where he worked in both the Research and Corporate Finance departments. Mr. Griffin received his B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles.

David Eastman is a General Partner at Prospector Equity Capital, L.P.
He has been a Managing Director at Hunter Capital Group, the Fund's
management company, since 1998. Previously, Mr. Eastman focused on
private equity investments in Europe, most recently as a partner of
Prague-based Tyn Group, where he worked on acquisitions in international
franchising and telecommunications. Mr. Eastman has also worked as a
private equity investor in Asia with Unifund International and as an
investment banker with Banque Paribas and Drexel Burnham Lambert in the
United States. Mr. Eastman received his M.B.A. in Finance from the
University of California at Los Angeles and his B.A. in Economics from
Harvard University.

Alison Wistner is a Vice President at Prospector Equity Capital, L.P.
She has worked on investment banking and private equity transactions for
Hunter Capital Group since 1998, most recently as Vice President. Prior
to joining Hunter Capital, Ms. Wistner worked as a Financial Analyst for
NationsBanc Montgomery Securities in mergers and acquisitions and
corporate finance. Ms. Wistner received a B.S. in Business (Finance)
from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Mr. Abtahi is member of the General Partner of Prospector Equity Capital, L.P. Mr. Abtahi founded Hunter Capital Group, the Fund's Management Group, in 1996. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Banker's Trust, responsible for the European Capital Markets, the U.S. Debt Markets and the Syndication and Trading of Domestic Corporate Bonds. Prior to Bankers Trust, Mr. Abtahi worked in the Capital Markets Group of Bank of America. Mr. Abtahi has B.S. and M.S. degrees from MIT and a Doctorate in Finance from Harvard Business School.
